Afghanistan earthquake felt in central India

Afghanistan-Earthquake-Relief

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck northern Afghanistan in early April near its border with Tajikistan in the sparsely populated Hindu Kush mountains. Aftershocks reached as far as Delhi, India. The quake caused one fatality in Pakistan.

In October 2015, the same region had a 7.5-magnitude earthquake that claimed 300 lives.
Since the recent incident, officials have expressed concern mostly about landslides.
Though Afghanistan is a war-torn and predominantly Muslim nation, Catholic Relief Services has served there helping farmers improve their production and to be less vulnerable to natural disasters.

Pray for Catholic Relief Services workers as they serve Afghanistanis in this difficult part of the world, and for protection of citizens from future aftershocks.
