Beginning the Relief Work in Brazil

BRAZIL — Samaritan’s Purse is beginning the work by unloading relief supplies—including hygiene kits, shelter tarp, water filters, and blankets—from two airlifts to southern Brazil. The region is suffering through deadly flooding, and many people are in need of both spiritual comfort and tangible aid. Our teams are on the ground to help in Jesus’ Name.

Alex DiasSamaritan’s Purse:

What is happening now in Brazil, we are having a huge flooding in all the areas and the regions here. It’s full of water. We are facing a very hard situation now.

Weldon HarrisSamaritan’s Purse:

Samaritan’s Purse is in Porto Alegre. Our second air drop occurred today. Behind me you’ll see hygiene kits, tarping material. Water is the big issue right now, so we’re setting up distribution points around the city. Through the efforts of lots of local partners, we are able to reach out in the name of Jesus to help the people here.

Alex:

At this moment, we need your prayers for the people of Rio Grande do Sul.
