MINNESOTA — Crisis-trained chaplains from the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) are ministering in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, talking with locals and pointing them to a God who gives hope. Many in the Twin Cities are deeply hurting after 20-year-old Daunte Wright was shot and killed at a traffic stop on April 11.
It was just a year ago that the George Floyd incident happened. Here we have this young man Daunte Wright that’s been shot. It’s like a volcano going off.
Robert Roulds, BGEA RRT Chaplain:
“Before we go out let’s pray. God we just thank You, Father, for this day. Another day’s journey in your hands, dear Lord. And, Lord, as we go out we ask that You would order our steps, Father. Holy Spirit, lead and guide us. Give us discernment. Give us wisdom, Father. Draw those who are calling, those who are hurting, those who need to hear the Gospel today. And everything we do may it be to the praise of Your glory. Give us eyes to see ears to hear and a heart for the people in this community. We thank You, we praise You. In Jesus Name we pray, amen.”
About the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team
The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team was developed by Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It has since grown into an international network of chaplains in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia who are specifically trained to deal with crisis situations. They have deployed to more than 300 disaster sites, including shootings, floods, hurricanes, wildfires and tornadoes.
