Bolivia Churches Rebuilt with Help from Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse continues to help construct places of worship for believers in remote areas of Bolivia even in the midst of COVID 19 lockdown.

BOLIVIA — Samaritan’s Purse continues to help construct places of worship for believers in remote areas of Bolivia. After four months of having to down their tools during lockdown Samaritan’s Purse worker Grace Wright returns to the village of Tahuapalca to see how their building work is developing on a local church building there.

Grace Wright, Samaritan’s Purse

So we have arrived at the church here in Tahuapalca. Last year, we had a construction team come and help do the build. So last time I was here, there was just– oh, wow! We just had like barely the framing of the roof, and now look!

OK, right here, where the pastor and I are standing, on this very ground is where me and a team of six other individuals– they were international volunteers– came, and we mixed cement. We moved brick and sand up this hill back here. It’s amazing to be back and see the progress that they’ve made.

That is about it for the day. We’re going to head back to the city. But I’m so thankful to get to see Pastor Sebastian again, see the church completed. I would just ask that you continue to lift up Bolivia in prayer, the staff here as well, as we continue to spread the love and hope of Jesus Christ during this difficult time.
