National Faith Leaders Join President Joe Biden, Former vice President Mike Pence at National Day of Prayer Observance

LOS ANGELES, CA — Evangelist Nick Hall, Pastor Greg Laurie and Rev. Samuel Rodriguez join President Joe Biden, former VP Mike Pence and other national faith leaders today in a celebration of the National Day of Prayer hosted by Pray.com.

Nick Hall, Greg Laurie & Samuel Rodriguez join President Joe Biden, former VP Mike Pence in a celebration of National Day of Prayer“I am praying right now at our Pulse headquarters in downtown Minneapolis, blocks away from the Chauvin trial, a couple of miles away from where Daunte Wright was killed, and we’re asking God to come in the midst of the chaos right here in Minneapolis,” said Nick Hall, founder of Pulse. “Thank you God, that you bend down and you hear the cries of your people. Tonight we pray against racism. We pray for reconciliation and justice. We pray against hate in Jesus’ name. We pray that your church would rise up in this day with a powerful witness of the gospel and we invite you to move in a way that creates revival in us and our communities.”

Nick Hall will also host “God Lives Here“, a prayer and worship rally in downtown Minneapolis along with 11 local churches tonight at 6 p.m. CST.

“Our nation now lives in a time not unlike those God’s people have endured before us,” said Rev. Samuel Rodriguez. “We face threats from the outside, we are beset by internal conflict and division, and we are faced with the struggle to remember who we are and the purpose we have been called to. Yet, in our nearly 245-year-history, we have always overcome the forces that would’ve torn us apart. By you, God, we have overcome. God, help us rightly decide what kind of America we will leave for the next generation. Help us to remain a beacon of hope for the entire world!”

“Prayer and proclamation of the Gospel are the two secret weapons of the church. There is power in unified prayer. That is why I am so happy to join with so many of my friends praying together for the soul of our nation,” said Pastor Greg Laurie. “God we are a nation in need of spiritual awakening. We are a nation in need of healing. So we are reminded of what you say in 2 Chronicles 7:14 when you say, ‘If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.’ Father, we are praying that you will heal our land. But it starts with us. Let that revival begin in our hearts. Let repentance start with each of us individually because you have said that we need to turn from our wicked ways and if we do that, you promise that you will hear us. You will forgive us. And you will heal our nation. So we commit our nation to you. We commit our churches to you. We commit ourselves to you.”
