Broadcasting Hope and Peace in the Middle East

ASAT-7’s four channels will be broadcasting peace and the hopeful message of Christ’s birth in a range of Christmas programs for all ages.

MIDDLE EAST — At the end of a year that has been marked by disaster and conflict in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), SAT-7’s four channels – ARABIC, KIDS, PARS, and TÜRK – will be broadcasting peace and the hopeful message of Christ’s birth in a range of Christmas programs for all ages.

As churches in the Holy Land and neighbouring Jordan cancel public Christmas celebrations, Christian Broadcast Ministry SAT-7 is standing in solidarity with those suffering in the region with a schedule of Christmas programming that points viewers to the Prince of Peace.

Special broadcasts for Arabic viewers will include an interview with the pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church in Bethlehem, which has attracted worldwide attention with this nativity scene of the baby Jesus placed among rubble, representing the devastation of the war in the Holy Land.

Rev. Dr. MUnther IsaacPastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church:

Christmas used to be a time to celebrate. It used to be a time of joy and happiness. But the true meaning of Christmas takes us to other dimensions.

Rami Al-Halaseh is with SAT-7 Arabic and he shares his expectations for these special broadcasts.

Rami Al-Halaseh:

The Lord will use our programs to touch the hearts of our viewers because maybe they will, with the power of the Holy Spirit of course, they will connect with the message that we’re trying to convey about the Prince of Peace.

And SAT-7’s CEO Rita El-Mounayer said, “As we share the message of the birth of Jesus with viewers across the region, please pray that this will encourage many weary and grieving hearts.”
