COLOMBIA — The Church Casa Sobre la Roca visited the women’s prison in the city of Armenia, Columbia, in alliance with the Colombian Prison Fraternity that supports people deprived of their freedom, the families of inmates, graduates of prisons, and victims of the Colombian armed conflict through various programs inside and outside prisons.

Casa sobre la Roca Integral Christian Church visited the Villa Cristina women’s prison, in alliance with the Colombian Prison Fraternity, which supports people deprived of their freedom, the families of inmates, graduates of prisons, and victims of the conflict through various programs inside and outside prisons.

On this occasion, volunteers from the Más Foundation and the Josué Group, young adults from Casa Roca, armed with love and the word of God, leave all their obligations week after week to bring a message of hope and salvation to women who live behind bars.

Man:

We have been able to bring them Bibles, we have been able to bring them work material, we have been able to bring them hygiene kits, we have been able to bring them food.

Just as we do with them, we should be doing it with anyone around us and even more so they who are so needy at this time.

Hope is there, Christ is the reason.

The purpose of this time is, above all things, to fulfill the mandate that Jesus gave to preach the Gospel to every creature and bring freedom behind bars and that they come out transformed by the power and knowledge of the word of God.

God’s work behind bars has transformed the environment in the prison and there more than 11 women were baptized in water and 21 were already part of the DNA First Steps in Christianity course.

Woman:

When the course started, they were lazy to attend and did it just to fulfill hours that would benefit them.

At the end of the course, we can enter the life story of each one of them, restore, see the restoration, see changed faces with the grace of God, see the love of Christ over them, see healing, see many miracles through that space that we had one day a week.

So that is gratifying for us.
