Providing Water Systems for Mexico

Samaritan’s Purse has given four water filtration systems to the military of Mexico for use in future natural disasters.

SANTA LUCÍA, MEXICO — Samaritan’s Purse has given four water filtration systems to the military of Mexico for use in future natural disasters. These devices were used during their response to Hurricane Otis in Acapulco, which recently concluded. Edward Graham was on hand to speak and tell why they do all they do in Jesus’ Name.

Edward GrahamChief Operating Officer, Samaritan’s Purse:

I’m in Mexico City at a military base here where Samaritan’s Purse gifted the water filtration systems that we used in Acapulco. If you remember, the most powerful hurricane that’s ever hit the Pacific coast of Mexico destroyed most parts of Acapulco. And Samaritan’s Purse responded, sending equipment, tarps, water filtration systems, and other disaster relief equipment to work to the local churches. The Mexican military and their army is the one that met our aircraft, put it on their own smaller cargo aircraft, and got it down there for the city of Acapulco.

All that we have at Samaritan’s Purse, all the resources that we have are a gift from God. So wherever Samaritan’s Purse goes, yes, we meet the immediate needs of those that are suffering. Whether it be a hospital, or food, or disaster relief, we serve in the name of Jesus Christ. My hope and prayer is that you’ll have that same trust and that same hope in Jesus that I have.

Cesario CarvajalCommissioner General:

Cooperating with Samaritan’s Purse and the Secretary of Defense during this time is an act of good will, with no self interest. It is an act of full support of the people, particularly those who are suffering.

Edward:

All that we do here is to bring glory to Jesus’ name, but it’s to serve those that are in the ditches of the world and let them know that God has not forsaken them and that Jesus loves them. And we’re able to do this because of your help and your prayers. So thank you. I also want to thank the Army of Mexico for all their help, for their hospitality, and how they love their people during a time of crisis.
