POLAND — An Operation Christmas Child volunteer in Poland started a Christian club for children who wanted to continue to meet for Bible study after they received shoebox gifts and graduated from The Greatest Journey.

Wiestawa SzymczakVolunteer:

One day God laid it in my heart that if the children come to know Him in real life, their lives will be in a completely transformed.

My name is Wiestawa Szymczak and we are currently in the Christian Club “Friend Number One” in Chorzów. The club started in Warsaw, When I arrived here, I first started with an Operation Christmas Child distribution. And after 12 meetings of the Greatest Journey, kids wanted to keep meeting. And a need arose to create a club, a place where they can come and continue after Operation Christmas Child.

It’s just everyday life. They do their homework here, meet, come and have fun, too. At the same time, we have various Bible studies. This is how we can show God’s action in their lives, in a natural setting.

They have a place to keep doing things, getting to know God to develop and grow in God. I want to say that Operation Christmas Child has become a tool that helped us reach the children. They are changing, transforming their behavior. And this is my prayer that their experiences here have a good impact on their lives, their future, making plans and decisions. This is my prayer.
