Bringing Relief to Fleeing Ukrainians

Samaritan’s Purse is working through church partners and partner organizations to help bring supply and relief to fleeing Ukrainians.

MOLDOVA — In addition to their multiple medical treatment locations in various locations around Ukraine, Samaritan’s Purse is working through church partners and partner organizations to help bring supply and relief to fleeing Ukrainians with needed items for wherever their journey takes them.

They are providing supplies for distribution in both Ukraine and Moldova. So far, tens of thousands of people have received their supplies, which include hygiene kits, drinking water, food, cooking kits, blankets, winter clothing kits, and other items.

Christian Lambertus, Samaritan’s Purse – Germany:

We’re distributing in the north of Moldova today. We’re serving roughly about a thousand beneficiaries with food and non-food items. Pastors will be our first contact, and they have their own shelters in their churches, distributing it directly to the refugees coming from Ukraine. We at Samaritan’s Purse have the opportunity to help alongside the Moldovan people.

Vitalie Fedula, Local Pastor:

The answer for this– it’s like a miracle. It’s God. Without help from outside, we would not be able to accomplish the needs and the challenges. We are very thankful to Samaritan’s Purse because, coming together, we can do our best; not only providing a bed, not only providing good food, but we have also time and resources to focus on spiritual needs. Those needs are becoming a big open door from the Lord to tell them about the best hope that comes from believing and accepting Jesus in their hearts. Pray that we would be not only Jesus’s hands, but we’ll be also that voice of the Good News for our neighbors from Ukraine.
