CAMBODIA — Samaritan’s Purse is providing emergency supplies, including food and water, to families in Cambodia adversely affected by Tropical Storm Nangka that produced heavy rain and flash floods.

My name is Anna Zatsepina, and I’m the protection manager here at Samaritan’s Purse Cambodia. And today, we’re here at Kampong Prieng commune in Cambodia Battambang Province of Cambodia, a community that was heavily affected by Nangka tropical storm that came through Cambodia in October. Cambodia was hit with flooding, and a lot of these families lost the remainder of their livelihoods.
Right after the storm, we were able to provide emergency food and water. And today, we’re able to follow that up with non-food relief items such as buckets and soap and water filters because many of the water sources were contaminated by the floods. And in addition, we’re doing cash transfers that are equivalent to a monthly food supply in order to give these families the dignity of choice and also support the local economy. And we would not be able to do any of this without your support, so thank you.
