CityServe Provides Life-saving Relief to Southwest Florida, Pleas for Further Help to Fund Emergency Food, Water, Generators, Fuel, and More

CityServe Florida had teams on the ground before Hurricane Ian struck, and has provided life-saving assistance immediately.

BAKERSFIELD, CA — CityServe Florida had teams on the ground before Hurricane Ian struck, and has provided life-saving assistance immediately to distressed residents in Southwest Florida. So far they have provided over 5,000 hot meals to residents, along with 200 pallets of water, produce, non-perishable food, and cleaning supplies.

CityServe’s church network is helping Florida residents with:

  • Distribution of food, water, and other emergency supplies
  • Chainsaw teams to remove debris
  • Roof and tarp teams
  • Strategically positioning generators in neighborhoods and churches.

CityServe is uniquely equipped with warehouses and a vast network of local churches throughout the State of Florida. For example, CityServe has a vacated grocery store at ground zero outside Fort Myers. Todd Lamphere, VP of Government Relations and Partnerships, spoke about City Serve’s relief efforts so far on Fox News at Night last week.

“The devastation caused by Hurricane Ian is widespread, leaving families desperate for tangible help and hope.” said Dave Donaldson, CityServe co-founder. “Local churches are heroes and are responding quickly and effectively to these help communities by providing emergency food, supplies, and manpower. We are grateful to those of you who are supporting CityServe’s response with your prayers and financial support. Together, let’s go the extra mile to serve our brothers and sisters in need.”

As CityServe Florida continues their work, their immediate funding needs are $1 million, which includes:

  • Purchase and transport gasoline and cans for chainsaws, generators, and cars
  • Generators
  • Skid loader and trailer for chainsaw crews
  • Food and Water
  • Specialty items such as hygiene kits, batteries, and diapers
  • Building supplies and tarps to repair roofs
  • Freight to transport home furnishings
