The Los Angeles Dream Center and Kershaw’s Challenge to Host Annual “Back-to-School Bash,” with Signature Partner, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, Giving Away Thousands of Backpacks and School Supplies

Back-to-School Bash

LOS ANGELESThe Los Angeles Dream Center is pleased to announce their annual Back-to-School Bash is happening in-person on Saturday, August 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m PST. After over a year of challenges and restrictions due to the pandemic, the team at the Dream Center is excited to physically reunite with families and kids that they have long been serving through this important annual event that helps families in need get their children ready for another school year.

This is the 8th year that the Dream Center and Kershaw’s Challenge have partnered to put on this highly anticipated event back on the Dream Center campus, where generously donated backpacks and school supplies will be distributed. This year’s Back-to-School Bash has a few other festivities in store, including carnival games, a zip line, rock climbing, a ferris wheel, water slides and much more.

Los Angeles Dream Center co-founder Matthew Barnett,

“It is our sincerest hope that this year’s Back-to-School Bash will not only provide students with the necessary materials and supplies they need to succeed, but will also bring them the excitement and motivation they need to start the school year fresh. After having to endure a tumultuous year of bad news and constant adjustment, we know that this school year may prove to be challenging yet again as students and families try to readjust back to in-person learning. I hope we can plant new dreams and hopes in their hearts for the future! This event is one simple way to remind them that their neighbors and their community care deeply about them and are rooting hard for them.”

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw,

“After a year of a lot virtual, including this event, it feels really great to be back in person. The Back to School Bash with our friends at the Dream Center is one of our favorite parts of every year. It was awesome to see the team pull off a drive-thru event last year, but it feels awesome to get to do it face to face this year. Kershaw’s Challenge is really proud to partner with the Dream Center again. It’s an honor to serve the families and kids of LA by their side.”
