LYNCHBURG, VA — The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) will host the 2021 Way Maker World Conference Wednesday, Sept. 15 through Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Fla.

The AACC’s World Conference is the world’s premier Christian counseling event and offers counselors and ministry experts an opportunity to learn from leading authorities on professional, pastoral and lay counseling. Plenary session speakers include former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, pastor and author Levi Lusko and Proverbs 31 Ministries president Lysa TerKeurst.

The event is the largest regular gathering of Christian mental health professionals in the world, including licensed clinical counselors, professors, psychologists, psychiatrists, church leaders and various other caregivers for four days of professional development, networking and inspiration.

“Our nation is facing a mental health crisis, and now more than ever, counselors and pastors need to come together to grow and encourage one another,” said Dr. Tim Clinton, President of AACC. “We’re excited to do just that at the 2021 Way Maker World Conference. God has given us a unique calling for such a time as this.”

Conference attendees can expect a full schedule with access to pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions, 25 unique professional workshop tracks, poster presentation symposiums, an exhibit hall and more.

The professional workshop tracks include “Grief and Loss, Crisis Response and Pandemic/Disaster Recovery”; “Family Health, Step Families, Millennials and Generation Z” and “Mental Health, the Brain and Neuroscience.” Each track includes a total of seven workshops. Continuing Education credits are available for some psychologists, licensed mental health professionals and play therapists through select workshops.

The conference will also feature the largest exhibit hall in the event’s history with a variety of Christian corporations, publishers, organizations, colleges and universities in attendance. The exhibit hall will be open at select times Wednesday through Saturday.
