Graham honored the sacrifices of 19 Israeli Medics of Magen David Adom who have been killed since Oct. 7, the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham joined hundreds of Israeli citizens on Jan. 23 to dedicate 14 new ambulances for Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical services provider. Graham honored the sacrifices of 19 Israeli Medics of Magen David Adom who have been killed since Oct. 7, the start of the current Israel-Hamas war.

Franklin GrahamPresident & CEO, Samaritan’s Purse:

This is Franklin Graham right now. I’m in Jerusalem, Israel where Samaritan’s Purse has provided 14 ambulances to Magen David Adom. This is their national ambulance service. 14 were destroyed on October 7th when the Hamas invaded. And so we have replaced these 14 and that’s what this day is all about.

We dedicate these ambulances today to God, to his glory. And we honor those who have lost their life.

And we pray that these ambulances will bring comfort to the people of Israel, knowing that there will be somebody who can respond for any crisis.

I had a chance to meet the families of those that were killed. They’ve lost about 20 of their staff to the fighting.

Each ambulance has got a loved one’s name on the ambulance. We had a chance to just meet with the families and pray with them, try to encourage them.

Father, I pray for this family. as they mourn the loss of their loved one’s father. These ambulance is not just serve a few people, it serves the whole country. And so, of course, we want Israel to know, these families to know that God loves them and cares for them, so do we.
