BAKERSFIELD, CA — As an energy crisis unfolds in Europe, Ukrainians may face the inability to heat their homes, or lack the resources to do so. Consequently, CityServe International is partnering with over 6,700 churches in their church network in Eastern Europe to help deliver generators and C-train homes to Ukrainian families to ensure they stay warm this winter. C-train homes are small, safe modular homes provided for those who are rebuilding their homes after Russian attacks demolished their previous residence.
“As winter looms in Ukraine, families are faced with a potentially deadly crisis,” said Dave Donaldson, co-founder of CityServe. “This war threatens their survival, but now a bitterly cold winter could cost thousands of innocent lives as well. Threatened Ukrainian families are not only seeking safety but desperately need homes to keep them warm and protected from the harsh elements. Energy resources to provide heat are in short supply and costly. It seems dire but there is hope and help! CityServe, alongside our vast network of church partners, is there on the frontlines to save every life we possibly can by providing emergency food, mobile homes, transportation, and monthly financial support. There is no greater moment than now for us to stand with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.”
CityServe has already provided a number of these homes to the town of Bucha, where a brutal massacre of innocent civilians took place in the spring.
“What’s more, the threat of nuclear attacks only adds to the fears of innocent families,” Donaldson added. “I hope every American, before they go to bed each night, keeps the Ukrainian people in their prayers, and partners with CityServe and it’s network of churches to help save a life this winter.”
In addition to providing shelter to those in need of a home, CityServe is sending another 1 million meals to Ukraine as well–part 3 of its 1 million meal distribution. Last month, CityServe’s affiliate at Grand Canyon University, GCU CityServe, had over 2,000 students packing 500,000 meals in less than 4 hours. Those meals are awaiting shipment to Ukraine.
