KYIV, UKRAINE — It has been more than 140 days since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. But even in this difficult and horrible time, we are experiencing God’s love. In dangerous situations it is easier for closed hearts to open up. Watch this video about the ministry to children from at-risk families during the war.

I want to speak about God’s glory and His faithfulness. Literally everything in our ministry has changed since the war began. For example, the children we were trying to reach, whom we were working with, whose parents never properly came into contact with us – God simply opened these families for outreach. There is a boy *Loasha, in two years his parents never allowed him to any worship services, events, camps, nothing. We prayed, remained steadfast knowing the Lord was true. So, when the war began we delivered humanitarian aid to the families in need. Eventually Loasha’s parents let him go with us so we could continue serving the children.

Kiev Jewish Messianic Congregation (KJMC) was born shortly after first Festival of Jewish Music and Dance, organized by the mission “Hear, O Israel!” (Jonathan Bernis), which took place in Ukraine in 1994. Boris Grisenko has been the rabbi (pastor) of KJMC from the very beginning. Rabbi Boris was also the Vice Chairman of the Ukrainian Interchurch Council and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Theology from CLST (Christian Life School of Theology).
