WASHINGTON — Museum of the Bible will host award-winning journalist and New York Times bestselling author Lee Strobel for the launch of his newest book, “The Case for Heaven: A Journalist Investigates Evidence for Life After Death,” on Tuesday, Sept. 14. Strobel will discuss his book from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (ET) and a reception will follow from 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (ET).
“It’s a question relevant to every person — ‘What happens after we die?’” said Strobel. “I’m honored to partner with the Museum of the Bible to share the insights I learned during research for my upcoming book ‘The Case for Heaven.’ After talking to leading scientists, philosophers, and theologians, I’ve come to believe we can know with confidence that the afterlife is real. Join me and learn why we don’t have to fear death.”
Strobel, a former atheist and a former legal editor of The Chicago Tribune, is the author of more than 40 books and curricula that have sold a total of 14 million copies. His investigative work, “The Case for Christ: A Journalist’s Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus,” was first published in 1998 and has sold more than 5 million copies around the world, has been translated into numerous languages and has been made into a major motion picture. Strobel currently leads the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University. He and his wife, Leslie, have been married nearly 50 years.
“Lee Strobel is an exceptionally talented writer whose work has impacted millions as he has sought to communicate biblical teachings to broad audiences, both those familiar with the Bible and those who are not. In his new book, his personal experiences inform how he explains life, death, and life after death,” said Jeffrey Kloha, chief curatorial officer of Museum of the Bible. “This conversation will be both challenging and encouraging, and we invite you to join us as Lee helps us ponder some of humanity’s oldest questions.”
In “The Case for Heaven: A Journalist Investigates Evidence for Life After Death,” Strobel explores questions like “What happens when we close our eyes for the last time in this world?” and “Is there an afterlife?” and presents his findings for the reality of life after death via conversations with respected scholars and experts.
