EL CAJON, CA — Premiering this Christmas as the first docudrama feature film from Turning Point Ministries, Why the Nativity? is a thought-provoking journey surrounding what Dr. Jeremiah calls “the most pivotal moment in human history—the birth of Jesus Christ.” Throughout the docudrama, Dr. Jeremiah draws from both the Old and New Testaments, providing answers to a number of questions surrounding the Christmas story.

Why the Nativity?  will be featured at two premiers. The first takes place at Regal LA Live Theater in Los Angeles on November 18 at 7 PM, and the other at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. on December 2 at 7 PM.

Turning Point produced this live-action film from a custom-made set in San Diego County to recreate Bethlehem and the surrounding areas at the time of Christ’s birth. Throughout the film, viewers will witness reenactments of Old Testament prophets foretelling the birth of Jesus, Gabriel appearing to Mary, Joseph and Mary traveling the road to the crowded city of Bethlehem, angels appearing to shepherds, the star guiding the Wisemen from the East, and the humble stable where Baby Jesus is found lying in a manger.
