BAKERSFIELD, CA — This week, a team from CityServe International joined Dream City Church in Phoenix, alongside hundreds of leaders from all around the world, during a three day leadership training at the Dream Conference. At the conference, CityServe was pleased to announce a new global partnership with Dream City Church and various Dream Centers worldwide to mobilize churches to offer healing and restoration to individuals and families in a number of communities, by utilizing the CityServe church empowerment pillars—the Compassion Initiatives, the Goods-in-Kind (GIK) Supply Chain, and the National Grant Center.
Dave Donaldson, the co-founder and CEO of CityServe, along with Wendell Vinson, the Vice Chairman and President, and Karl Hargestam, Vice President of Affiliates were invited to speak on stage with Pastor Tommy Barnett unveiling their new collaborative partnership.
“Years ago we would stay overnight in our car to attend the Pastors School, now called the Dream Conference,” said Donaldson, reflecting on his time learning from the leadership of Dream City Church and The Los Angeles Dream Center. “You taught us how to help the church to become irresistible and irreplaceable. CityServe is born out of your inspiration,” Donaldson told Barnett.
“A great model for the partnership is in Arkansas with New Life Church pastored by Rick Bezet,” Donaldson added. “They started with a Dream Center in Little Rock that is thriving. Then they added CityServe and are now impacting 150 communities through local churches.”
“Next year, the whole Dream Conference will take a completely different look,” said Luke Barnett, the Senior Pastor of Dream City Church. “There will be a Dream Conference in cooperation and partnership with CityServe. And we’re going to bring the greatest influencers in the world to come speak here.”
