A Child Safety and Prevention Project Led by An Inspiring Puppet

SPAIN —”Alexia Teach Us” is an innovative initiative aimed at children aged 4 to 8 and their parents, focused on creating a culture of child safety and prevention against abuse.

Alexia Enseñanos is a project aimed at children from 4 to 8 years old and their parents to create a culture of prevention.

It is about defending children or providing them with tools so that they know how to defend themselves against pedophiles. We also prevent them from child sexual abuse. We teach them, Alexia teaches them because Alexia is the main protagonist, who is a puppet that accompanies me in this project. We teach them to know how to react when they lose their parents and basic safety.

The security officer with more than 30 years of experience explains how his faith led him to the creation of Alexia Enseñanos.

Even though I turned 15 years old, I had a long time away from the Lord. And I repeat, the Lord rescues me through this project. All the ideas came to me, they flowed to me. It took me almost a year to develop the project and carry it out, because of course, I had to make the puppet itself, the songs I carry, the material itself, the teachings, all that, it took me a year of work in which I had the help of the Lord.

However, Salvador says that in the more than three years that he has been carrying out the project, he has had to face various challenges after expressing personal opinions through his social networks and the type of sexual education.

And that cost me that all those politicians who had supported the project and that I had a full agenda all year, the first year I started, to get on top of it, to make a devastating campaign and that José made me rethink more than once, to throw away, to throw away the towel and say, “Lord, it can’t be.” But again, the Lord made me see that he was on my side.

Martí explains that for each activity he receives support from his wife and eight-year-old son. He hopes that in the future other agents can also join the project.
