More than two hundred and thirty thousand Zambians have responded to the Gospel during the 2024 Love Zambia Campaign, which has included workshops and outreaches in multiple schools, prisons, and orphanages. Organisers say that over a hundred thousand people attended the third and final day of the Love Zambia Festival in Lusaka.

Andrew PalauEvangelist, Luis Palau Association:

“In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so I would have told you. And I’m going there, to prepare a place for you.”

Partnering with ‘Bibles for the World’, this campaign has distributed 30 000 bibles and 310 000 copies of the Gospel of John, in 3 different languages. Zambia’s population of 21 million is predominantly Christian. Despite positive economic growth in recent years, 60 percent of Zambians still survive on less than 2 dollars a day. The Love Zambia Campaign uses in-person outreaches to impact entire communities, from street kids and orphans to civic authorities and business leaders.

Wendy PalauEvangelist, Luis Palau Association:

“It was my sorrow that He carried on the cross. I knew that He took my sin. But could God, did Jesus, on the cross, actually take my grief?”

Medical and Eyeglass clinics offer both physical and spiritual healing and support. According to a 2022 survey by the Zambia Statistics Agency, urban Zambians list Health as the number one priority for facilities that they would like to see improved. For every million Zambian residents, there is only 1 ophthalmologist. By comparison, the United States has 81 ophthalmologists per million residents.

“God gave. He gave Jesus, He gave this gift to us. But we have to receive the gift.”

“And we ask it all in the precious and holy name of Jesus. Amen. Alright, Lusaka!”

More than half of the Zambian population is under the age of 20. Evangelism teams saw thousands respond to the gospel in schools, sports clinics, and prison outreaches. And with more than a hundred and eighty thousand attendees on the final weekend, there is no doubt that the impact of this campaign will continue to be felt across the nation.

“The Love Zambia Festival has been a great honor to the Lord… because God’s people are together.”
