HOUSTON, Texas – Mobile Medical Missions (M3) is holding its third annual Mobilizing Medical Missions Conference at Lakewood Church on Friday and Saturday, February 23rd and 24th.
Some 1,500 people are expected to attend the two-day event that features more than 30 speakers who serve with organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, Health Outreach to the Middle East (H.O.M.E.), C.U.R.E, and International Medical Outreach.
As many as 75 missionary organizations and more than 50 missions hospitals from around the globe will interact with attendees on the exhibition floor.
An actual Samaritan’s Purse Emergency Field Hospital will be set up for visitors to experience first-hand where and how its medical missions teams work. A typical Samaritan’s Purse field hospital can provide treatment for over 100 patients per day. Surgeons can conduct anywhere from 15 to 25 operations per day.

Dr. Paul Osteen, a vascular surgeon and founder of M3, said that the intent of the conference is to connect medical and missions expertise to help people in extremely resource-limited settings. He said, “We don’t have all the answers; we just have to do our part” and inspire others to do theirs.”
Attendance is open to anyone interested spreading the Gospel on foreign fields and is not limited to those with medical expertise.
