Evangelism is intimidating, especially when you’re first learning about how to pass out tracts or go door-to-door or starting a conversation on a spiritual issue. In most parts of the United States, the worst thing a person will do is make fun of you or call you a bad name.
If you work in a different country sharing Christ’s love, believers face tighter restrictions to their faith but continue to witness. They might be killed, put in prison or kicked out from their family for becoming Christians.
Jesus encouraged us to not be afraid when we witness:
“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” –Matthew 10:28 (NIV)
