DALLAS — The Surge Project, a global church planting initiative founded by Larry Stockstill, today released The World Missions Experience (http://missionsexperience.com) – a one-of-a-kind, immersive, 360-degree, virtual film that will allow users to experience missions around the world.
“Not many believers get to travel abroad to personally experience how God is transforming lives around the world” said Surge Project Managing Director, Ben Debayle.
“We created The World Missions Experience with them in mind. Through the 360-degree journey, viewers are fully immersed in a trip to five different countries where they will see the real faces and places being reached with the Gospel. All it takes is a simple cardboard viewer and a smartphone to see it. It’s the most affordable and easy way for someone to experience global missions. Our goal is to give Christians the next-best-thing to being there in person.”
In addition to the incredible footage from the five countries featured throughout the film, users will also enjoy an original music score created by Tyler Michael Smith – a seasoned film composer and son to world-renowned Christian musician, Michael W. Smith. Ben says,
“The beautifully composed score really grips you emotionally. I can’t wait for thousands to experience it across the nation!”
From storyboarding to post-production, The World Missions Experience was created with one goal in mind – to show people what it’s like to experience the Gospel in remote parts of the world. From the rainforests of Madagascar to the islands of Indonesia and beyond, The Surge Project invites you on a journey to see it for yourself.
There are two viewing options available on The World Missions Experience website (http://missionsexperience.com), which include either purchasing a cardboard viewer or signing up for a link to watch if you already own a VR headset.
