After a few minutes of small talk and getting permission from the person you are talking with, it’s time to get into a spiritual conversation. Here are a few questions you can ask to dive into a deeper conversation:
What do you think happens after you die?
How do you think people get to heaven?
Are you a spiritual person?
Do you go to church?
Do you consider yourself good?
What do you think of Jesus’s claim to be God?
The point of asking these questions is to learn about the person you are talking with and understand their worldview. With this, you can know where they are coming from and how to best share the Good News with them.
“Then the Spirit said to Phillip, ‘Go near and overtake this chariot.’ So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah reading and said, “‘Do you understand what you are reading?’ And he said, “‘How can I, unless someone guides me?’” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.” —Acts 8:29-31(NKJV)
