SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — On June 3, Franklin Graham shared God’s faithfulness at a special anniversary event commemorating his father, Billy Graham’s, historic 1973 Crusade in Seoul, South Korea.
The historic event altered the spiritual landscape of this fragile nation, fueling a boom of new churches and faithful Christ followers. In the five decades since then, the number of Christians across South Korea has tripled.
Franklin Graham:
I’m always looking forward to an opportunity to share with people about God’s love. 50 years ago, God did something remarkable right here in Seoul, Korea. My father was here and he preached to 1,100,000 people at one event. And so I’ve been asked to come back to preach and proclaim the same gospel message my father did 50 years ago.
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. If you’re willing to put your faith and trust in Christ, today God will forgive you of your sins. If you would like to invite Jesus Christ into your life, you stand.
Participants:
When Pastor Graham asked us to stand up, I decided to stand up to be more faithful to God, I decided to make the choice to stand up.
The greatest legacy that I can pass to my daughter is faith, and I wanted her to experience it, so I brought her here today.
I am happy because coming here has given me the opportunity to grow my faith in God.
