COLOMBIA — A Colombian pastor praises God for the ministry he shares with Samaritan’s Purse to help feed hungry families, many of whom are Venezuelan migrants, and share the hope of the Gospel with them.
Pastor Yahir:
Today Samaritan’s Purse delivered food in Maria Auxiliadora. It was a miracle from God. Today the heavens were opened for these people. I feel happy because I was able to be there.
The community has a lot of Venezuelans and Colombians, people who are ill. There are a lot of children, many families with five or six kids, families with children that have special needs. The people need someone to share the Lord with them. They feel abandoned. When they feel the presence of someone coming to them, walking through their streets of dirt and mud, they feel happy. They feel that they are not alone.
This ministry I share with Samaritan’s Purse has been beautiful because it has blessed many people.
This has been the answer to my prayers. I’ve always wanted to help people, but my resources are limited. Many people would tell me, “Pastor Yahir, I am going through this situation.” I felt sad because I had no way to get the things they needed.
The Lord has entrusted me with this ministry, this mission. So, every food parcel that Samaritan’s Purse provides will go to those who need it most.
I am thankful to the Lord for this beautiful answer to my prayers. Thank you, brothers of Samaritan’s Purse.
