BLANTYRE, MALAWI — Love Malawi Festival proved to be a powerful example of God’s grace and favor over Andrew and Wendy Palau’s ongoing evangelistic work. Uniting more than 2,250 local churches for two weeks of evangelistic ministry, this campaign helped saturate 4 cities with the clear Good News and led more than 37,922 people to indicate a decision to follow Jesus Christ.

The Palau Association saw nearly 38,000 people indicate a decision to follow Christ during their recent Love Malawi Festival in Southeastern Africa.

The entire campaign from Sep 24 to Oct 4 included more than 50 outreach events over a 2-week period, which culminated in a massive 3-day festival in the heart of Blantyre.

Evangelist Andrew Palau says the response was remarkable.

It was explosive. Tens and tens of thousands over the three days. Children in the schools, in the prisons. It was an incredible harvest. Tens of thousands indicating a decision for the Lord. And we had many other evangelists with us in some of the outlying cities. So it was really a national campaign revisiting Malawi. So pray for Malawi. There’s a lot of need there but the church is tremendously unified in a special way. We pray it will continue. Pray for those who responded to say yes to Jesus, that were sounds conversion. Pray that they will bear fruit and multiply. It’s exciting.

Palau says they also saw many accept Christ at their eye clinics.

Three local doctors, optometrists, Malawians came in and sat at each of the four clinics. And tens of thousands of reading glasses were brought to those who would never have the opportunity for that. It really revives their ability to read, to be in the word and to work. That’s a great effort and many coming to faith in the eyeglass clinics as well.

And the Palau Association has exciting plans for Festival Manchester to take place in the summer of 2022 in the North of England.
