TYLER, TX – CityFest East Texas is a large, multicultural music festival scheduled for October 5-6, 2019, with Andrew Palau as the featured speaker. The festival will include performances by top Christian recording artists Blanca, Marisol Park, Ryan Stevenson, The Newsboys, Pat Barrett, and Lecrae. Additionally, award-winning country artist Josh Turner will perform during the final night of CityFest East Texas. Evangelist Andrew Palau brings the first of a series of reports highlighting some of the prisons outreach taking place ahead of CityFest, as well as a Fiesta Latina outreach at Greenacres Baptist Church.

“Hey we’re here in Tennessee Colony, Texas, bringing you the first report of City Fest East Texas. We’re a few miles outside of Tyler. We just came from one of the prisons here and we saw a great harvest, many men giving their hearts to the Lord. I was started off yesterday morning with one of the other prisons and even more people, men and women were behind a chain-linked fence full of joy and excitement as we saw a great response.

So it was a great, great kick-off. It really filled out spirits with confidence, a reminder of the power of the Gospel even in the most difficult places and we have Fiesta Latina last night and 2,400 packed into Greenacres Baptist Church and an amazing response to the Gospel, so thanks for your prayers and support.”

Richard Andrew is here with us. We met at Fulsom County, where you had been. What do you think it means to hold things for the men and women in there?

“I think it means life or death. I gave my life to Christ in 1993 in the chapel of a California State Prison over 25 years ago. These folks are literally at the bottom. They cannot fall any further. And someone comes along and throws them a lifeline of hope and then these folks give their lives to Jesus, they become born again and then they become warriors for the kingdom, so God bless you and your supporters for making sure that you bring the Gospel to these folks.”
