HANOI, VIETNAM — Pastor Franklin Graham was honored to be welcomed to Vietnam on Monday by the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, and a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government Committee for Religious Affairs.
At the Government Office in Hanoi, they discussed the religious diversity and support for religious freedom in Vietnam. Pastor Graham was particularly touched to receive a gift of a Bible translated into one of the ethnic languages of the Central Highlands.
“I am very impressed by the growth and development of Vietnam, and I appreciate the advancements in religious freedom that I have experienced in this wonderful country. I am grateful to be invited back to preach the Gospel in Vietnam for the third time,” said Pastor Franklin Graham, President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He previously shared the Gospel in Ho Chi Minh City in March 2023 and in Hanoi in December 2017. “This week, I look forward to preaching for the first time in the Mekong Delta, where we are partnering with over 215 Protestant churches for the Love Season Evangelistic Program. This is not only an event for Christians but also for all Vietnamese people. I invite everyone to attend these events, which will feature live music, and I will share the message of God’s love for the people of this special country.”
This will be a historic event—the first time that churches from Can Tho and 12 other provinces in the Mekong Delta have come together and collaborated to share a message of hope that can transform lives.
Events at Can Tho Stadium will begin with live music at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, December 3, and Wednesday, December 4.
