Serving Law Enforcement Officers at BGEA Retreat

USA — In appreciation of their devotion to protect and serve others, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team supports America’s law enforcement community through annual retreats. These events acknowledge the unique challenges officers and their families face. BGEA President and CEO Franklin Graham brings this update from their most recent Law Enforcement Appreciation Retreat.

Franklin Graham – BGEA CEO and President:

This week in Lasso we’re focused on police officers. Men and women who serve this nation, who face trauma. And have had very difficult experiences out on the streets. They need our prayers, they need our support.

We want to bring them here to love them and care for them and let them know that God loves them and we want to focus on their marriages. So many of these law enforcement marriages are really struggling.

And we’re interested where they are spiritually. We want these officers to know that God loves them and cares for them and understands what they’re going through.

All of this is just a little part of what the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association does to try and invest in the lives of these men and women that serve our communities on a daily basis.

About the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team

The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team was developed by Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It has since grown into an international network of chaplains in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia who are specifically trained to deal with crisis situations. They have deployed to more than 300 disaster sites, including shootings, floods, hurricanes, wildfires and tornadoes.
