NEPAL — In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and celebration, the District Women’s Fellowship Committee of Kathmandu Valley, commemorated International Women’s Day while also honoring the birthday of His Holiness Moran Mor Athanasius I Metropolitan. The event took place in Kathmandu district, Nepal, where orphan children were treated to a delightful feast of fresh and delicious food.

The Human Concern Center, nestled in the heart of Kathmandu district, has been a beacon of hope since its inception in 2004, sustained by the generosity of compassionate donors. Currently home to 22 children hailing from various corners of Nepal, the center provides not only shelter but also free education and essential amenities.
The women’s fellowship team dedicated their time to engage with the children, spreading joy and serving them a sumptuous meal. The atmosphere at the center brimmed with happiness as both the children and caretakers relished the gesture of kindness. Mrs. Narayani Pariyar, the In-Charge at the center, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the church and the sisters for their exemplary service. She remarked, “Your kindness knows no bounds. Your service is not only exemplary but also deeply cherished by us. You’ve not only filled our children’s stomachs but also their hearts with happiness. Thank you for your love and concern.”
Expressing his gratitude, one of the orphaned children, Minga, shared his joy, saying, “Today, I am overflowing with happiness because of your presence and meaningful interaction with us. You’ve treated us like family, showering us with love and compassion. Thank you immensely.”
