SAN DIEGO — As Turning Point continues to grow and share the unchanging Gospel message around the world through its media empire, its founder and host, Dr. David Jeremiah never forgets that while you can share the Gospel worldwide you must also be the hands and feet of Christ in your own backyard. To that end, his company has already been engaged in two community outreach programs thus far in 2025.
As a Christian media organization located in Southern California, Turning Point has many partners in the Los Angeles region, and Dr. Jeremiah felt called to minister to those who have been impacted by the Pacific Palisades and Eaton wildfires. “We’re not a disaster relief organization,” Dr. Jeremiah said in a statement. “There are good organizations meeting the immediate physical needs, but as a multimedia ministry Turning Point has a publishing arm and we have Bibles in stock that we could share with the churches, Christian schools, and individuals who lost so much.”
Seeing the devastation and following the Biblical call to care for those in need, Turning Point reached out to its partners, individual churches, and school leaders in the LA region to offer support by providing Bibles to replace those lost in the fires. To date Turning Point has donated 2,468 Bibles and will continuing to provide Bibles to those rebuilding while supplies last.
In addition to supporting fire victims in Los Angeles, Turning Point is also working with the Wonder Project to help promote their upcoming new series House of David, which premieres on Amazon Prime at the end of February.
As companies like Sony and Amazon begin taking on more faith and family values entertainment, it is important to encourage the broader faith-based community to support these projects, especially ones that hold true to the Biblical narrative and historical documentation. Turning Point wants to be at the forefront of producing and promoting high quality, Bible-strong content and entertainment.
This partnership is an opportunity to work with the Wonder Project while encouraging leaders in Turning Point’s partnering industries of ministry & media to get excited about promoting Bible-strong content.
On Monday, February 10th Turning Point hosted a private screening of the first two episodes of House of David for local industry leaders, pastors, and select members of the media. This exclusive event allowed participants to hear from Wonder Project executives and see how God is opening doors in the entertainment industry.
David Michael Jeremiah, president and CEO of Turning Point, said, “We want people to be encouraged, excited, and enthusiastic about programs like House of David. We want people to watch and then go back to their Bibles, re-read the story, and want to look for more Biblical based resources to grow in their knowledge and faith.”
In addition to hosting the private screening, Turning Point is promoting House of David in Turning Points, the monthly magazine published by David Jeremiah, and Dr. Jeremiah is currently teaching a sermon series on the life of King David at Shadow Mountain Community Church where he is pastor. “It’s amazing how God works. I was already planning to teach on the life of David when we were contacted by the Wonder Project,” said David Jeremiah.
Turning Point hopes both these initiatives will propel the larger Christian community to join with them in supporting neighbors affected by natural disasters and to support Christians shining a light in the entertainment industry. Both can lead to meaningful discussions and actions that further the Kingdom.
