VIETNAM — Samaritan’s Purse distributed food packages containing rice, vegetables, and other nutritious supplies to families in Vietnam who are struggling during the pandemic.
Minh Nguyen, Samaritan’s Purse Program Development Manager:
It is 5:00 AM here, and we are loading up 250 food packages to be distributed. Here’s our supplies. We have some food items, we have vegetables, we have rice over there, and we have 250 beneficiaries lined up, waiting for the food packages. We’re in the middle of the distribution right now. People are still coming. I’m unloading supplies off the back of a truck. I talked to some people earlier, and all of them are very grateful for the supplies. That’s a lady earlier, I see. As she was receiving the rice and food items, she started crying. She couldn’t stop. So it’s all worth it.
Today we have seen these care packages touch people’s lives in powerful ways. I want to say “thank you” for your support. You have made it possible for us to reach and serve people who may feel like they have been forgotten. And I want to ask you to keep praying for Vietnam and the people who’ve been impacted by the pandemic here.
