Facing the Future in Ethiopia with Great Hope

TIGRAY, ETHIOPIA — Samaritan’s Purse is helping to bring hope and healing to families in Tigray, Ethiopia, who have been internally displaced by ongoing conflict.

Man 1:

Samaritan’s Purse are here today in a small northern Ethiopian town. We’re here supporting the people who have been impacted by the recent conflict.

Man 2:

The conflict started in October of 2020. About a million people became internally displaced. These individuals have experienced tremendous amounts of trauma. And yet every day, they face the future with great hope.

Woman:

Samaritan’s Purse is here, speaking well, saying, “You’re not alone. We’re going to walk with you till you can stand. You are still loved by God.”

Man 3:

“Father, you are a mighty God. I thank you for everything that has happened here in Tigray. I truly believe that you have an eternal agenda for Tigray people. Help Samaritan’s Purse to do the Great Commission here. This moment is a moment for the people of Tigray to know your love.”

We stand ready to respond at a moment’s notice whenever and wherever disaster strikes. The DART specializes in providing water, food, shelter, and medical care while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
