Cissie Graham Lynch Ministers Alongside Chaplains Near Her Home in Florida

FORT MYERS, FL — Cissie Graham Lynch, daughter of Franklin Graham, lives with her family in Fort Myers, Florida, one of the areas slammed by Hurricane Ian. The state’s deadliest storm in 87 years claimed well over 100 lives, destroyed businesses, washed away homes, and tossed boats against houses, into trees, and along the roads.

“This is my town. This is my community,” said Lynch, who has been ministering alongside Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains in the area. “The spiritual need here is tremendous. People are hurting. We need prayers.”

Cissie Graham Lynch:

I’m Cissie Graham Lynch and I’m here with in Fort Myers, Florida. This is my town, this is my community and of course it’s been devastated by hurricane Ian and the spiritual need here is tremendous. People are hurting. We need prayer. And that’s the amazing thing about our chaplains at the Billy Graham evangelistic association.

They have an incredible gift to go in and meet with people and they just listen. Some people just need to talk and get their stories out there and just share it and our chaplains do an incredible job to love on them, to listen, to hug them and to pray with them, to share that there is hope in the storm. That there’s a peace that can be given that the world cannot give and that peace is Jesus.

We need your prayers. The city’s got a long road of recovery and we’re so grateful for those who’ve partnered with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and who continue to pray.
