Tour will bring live music and a life-changing message of hope to the southern border

More than 90 churches across Maverick and Val Verde counties are working with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) to bring these exciting evenings of music and hope to southwestern Texas.

“We are coming to the southern border because it is one of the neediest areas of our country at this time, and people need to hear a message of hope,” said Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “Everyone along the border is overwhelmed—the churches, the law enforcement agencies, the residents, those they’re trying to help, as well as the people coming into our country. There are a lot of hungry hearts and hurting people, so I’m coming to the border to tell everyone about God’s Son, Jesus Christ, and how He can make a difference in our lives if we put our faith and our trust in Him.”

Over 1,000 churches in Texas, Arizona and California are partnering with BGEA for this 10-city tour because they want to reach their communities with a message of God’s love.

The events in Eagle Pass and Del Rio are free and everyone is invited to attend. On Feb. 28 – 29, live music will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Maverick County Amphitheater in Eagle Pass and the Del Rio High Rams Stadium in Del Rio.

“I have been a pastor for over 20 years now. We are a growing community that, in recent years, has encountered many challenges due to living on the border,” said Martin Seca, pastor of Living Stone Worship Center. “I think the Frontera Tour is an opportunity for everyone in the community to unite and gather together to hear a message of hope that will bring comfort during these uncertain times.”

“Many people in Eagle Pass are in need of hope. People are struggling with addictions, illness and family issues. They are turning to the wrong things to solve their problems,” said Pastor Gilberto Herrera of Roca Firme Christian Community Church. “I believe the message Franklin Graham will share at the God Loves You Frontera Tour has the power to change lives, families, and our community. Come and hear the good news that can turn your life around!”

Iconic Spanish-speaking Christian music artist Marcos Witt will perform in Spanish and English at each tour stop. He has received six Latin Grammys and two Billboard awards. Taya, formerly of Hillsong UNITED and best known for “Oceans,” one of the most popular songs in Christian music history, will also perform. Award-winning musician Dennis Agajanian, who has performed at Billy Graham’s and Franklin Graham’s evangelistic events for more than 45 years, will be joining the tour as well.
