LOS ANGELES — The God is Love Takeover came to downtown Los Angeles Friday January 12, 2023 for Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday weekend in partnership with the Azusa Street Mission to spread the power of love, unity and service. From city to city, the God is Love movement has poured out love by donating time and resources to help those in need and will coordinate with local ministries to give back on Skid Row addressing mental health needs.
As the spirit of revival has ignited around the country, The ‘God is Love’ Takeover is bringing hearts together to highlight the power of love and unity in the nation, just as we gathered in Times Square in New York city on 5.5.22 for the launch of the 12 city tour.
In these critical and difficult times, your voice matters and what better way to express it than to be united around the world to honor God in an evening of praise, dance, worship and prayer.
Kicking off on Azusa Street, where the power of the Holy Spirit sparked an international movement, the Love walk began with a special coming together event, followed by a celebratory walk down to the Los Angeles city hall for a Love Revival.
“The Takeover” is to promote the power of God’s Love in one unifying message by shining the light on darkness and disparity in dozens of communities throughout America, while embracing hope, peace and unity. Summed up, it is to release revival in the heart of the City by revealing God’s love.
