Last year, Vice President Mike Pence made a surprise appearance and the president also gave a message of support for the cause to attendees via a live video feed. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and George W. Bush all addressed the March for Life but their remarks were pre-taped or they were aired via a live video call.

The 47th annual March for Life Rally, which marks the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton abortion opinions, will take place at noon at 12th St. on the National Mall, in between Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive. Participants will then march to the Supreme Court building on Capitol Hill at approximately 1:00 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Life Empowers: Pro-life Is Pro-Woman” and the purpose of the march is to end abortion by “uniting, educating and mobilizing pro-life people in the public square.”

Prior to the March for Life, Liberty Counsel and Faith & Liberty are sponsoring the 26th annual National Memorial for the Preborn and Their Mothers and Fathers tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. at Constitution Hall, 1776 D St., NW in Washington, D.C. The public is invited to participate in this prayer service along with clergy and laity on behalf of all people who have been devastated by abortion in America.

The National Memorial for the Preborn and Their Mothers and Fathers will conclude at 10:30 a.m. before the March for Life Rally which begins at 11 a.m. at 12th St. on the National Mall, in between Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive. Participants will then march to the Supreme Court building on Capitol Hill at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said,

“This is an unprecedented time in history as President Donald Trump demonstrates his commitment to the sanctity of human life as the first president to speak in person at the March for Life Rally. Through his judicial appointments and support of pro-life legislation, President Trump has been the most consistent and unwavering president who is a champion for life. I am very encouraged that this administration will soon help eradicate legalized human genocide and make the womb a safe place in America once again.”
