NHCLC and Alliance Defending Freedom Partner to Defend Religious Freedom in the US

SACRAMENTO, CA — The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), led by Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, has recently announced a partnership with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) to offer legal aid to its member congregations.

NHCLC has recently announced a partnership with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) to offer legal aid to its member congregations.

The partnership – which will allow NHCLC member churches throughout the U.S. to access religious freedom legal help at a discounted rate – brings together America’s largest and most influential Hispanic/Latino Christian organization and the largest religious liberty legal organization in the world.

“Now more than ever before, churches must be legally prepared and protected,” Rev. Rodriguez said. “ADF has a proven record of success and years of experience advocating for religious freedom, and we at NHCLC are extremely proud to partner with them. I strongly encourage your church to become a member of ADF Church Alliance and allow ADF to lighten your church’s legal burden so you can focus on the Lamb’s agenda.”

The partnership comes through ADF’s Church Alliance initiative – a membership program that provides virtually all-inclusive religious freedom legal help to ensure Christians can operate their churches in accordance with biblical principles. The program provides members access to experienced religious liberty lawyers who are available to field religious liberty questions, provide case-specific legal analysis, insights, resources and advice, conduct a document review, and even represent your church in court if necessary and appropriate.

“We are pleased to partner with NHCLC so that together we may engage church leaders and those in the pews on religious freedom issues,” said Michael P. Farris, president, CEO and general counsel at ADF. “We look forward to serving NHCLC member churches through ADF Church Alliance so they are legally prepared and protected to boldly preach the Gospel and operate their churches in accordance with their beliefs.”

Founded in 1994, Alliance Defending Freedom is an alliance-building, nonprofit legal organization that advocates for the right of people to freely live out their faith. Over the past 25 years, Alliance Defending Freedom has won nearly 80 percent of the cases it has litigated to conclusion and has provided legal aid in 55 U.S. Supreme Court victories. Alliance Defending Freedom founded ADF Church Alliance to keep the doors open for the Gospel by meeting the growing religious freedom legal needs of churches across the country.
