Shoebox Gifts Impact Mongolian Family

BAYANKHONGOR, MONGOLIA — Baljinnyam praises God for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift he received when he was 13 in Mongolia. Through that gift, he gave his life to Christ. Now, Baljinnyam is an adult and saw his young daughter receive her own shoebox and learn more about Jesus.

Baljinnyam:

My name is Baljinnyam. I am from the province of Bayankhongor. When I go out and ride my horse, I am amazed by the beauty of nature. God created everything – the land river, mountain. He created it wonderfully. Perhaps that is why so many people come out to see the wonderful scenery.

In 2008 I received a shoebox gift. At that time I was 13 years old.

TzogzolmaaOperation Christmas Child Volunteer:

In 2007 Operation Christmas Child hosted a shoebox distribution in my province. Our goal was to reach out to children who lived in the city as well as the countryside. The following year we reached the children in the countryside and one of the recipients of the shoebox was Baljinnyam.

Baljinnyam:

I was very happy when I received the gift. There was also a booklet along with the gift. After reading the booklet, I understood and believed in Jesus Christ. I now read the Bible, pray, and I am dependent on Him.

Tzogzolmaa:

Baljinnyam and his parents became Operation Christmas Child volunteers and reached out to kids in our province. Today I was so happy to reconnect with Baljinnyam and see that he now has his own family in the countryside. I was blessed to meet his daughter, share the good news with her and bless her with a shoebox.

Baljinnyam:

Now seeing my daughter receive a shoebox was very touching. My hope is that my daughter will come to know Jesus. I hope that she grows up reading the Bible just like me. I am very thankful for the wonderful people who through Jesus Christ sent me this gift. I wish all of them success in their work.
