Delivering Backpacks to Children in Ukraine

NORTH WILKESBORO, NC — Samaritan’s Purse is sending thousands of children’s backpacks to Ukraine, each filled with a soft bear, hat, sketch pad, ball, and child-friendly Gospel materials, to let them know that God loves them and hasn’t forgotten them.

Karl PhelpsSamaritan’s Purse:

Samaritan’s Purse is packing backpacks for the children of Ukraine. We’re going to be sending those backpacks on our DC-8 aircraft; and from there, they’re moved to the distribution points throughout Ukraine.

Bethany JobeSamaritan’s Purse:

These backpacks are filled with some awesome items, like a notebook, and there’s some crayons, and there’s a hat to keep them warm on the journey, and also a fun smiley face ball, and a little toy as well. There’s also some items that teach them about God’s love.

My prayer for these kids is that they will know Jesus, and that they will know that He never leaves them, never forsakes them, and that He loves them so much and is with them every step of the way as they flee such a terrible situation and try to find a new normal where they’re going.
