Ukrainian Refugee Praises God for Help in Poland

POLAND — Natalia, a Ukrainian refugee who fled the conflict in her country, praises God for the food, housing, and spiritual hope she received from Samaritan’s Purse and partner organization Remar S.O.S. after she and her child arrived in Poland.

Natalia IgnatenkoUkrainian Refugee:

I am from Ukraine, from the Kyiv region, Bucha district. I came here to save my child’s life.

As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, millions of Ukrainians seek refuge throughout Europe.

Samaritan’s Purse is helping to provide food, housing and spiritual hope to desperate refugees through partners like Remar SOS in Poland.

Paulo OliveiraRemar SOS – Europe:

We have a team on the border. When people cross the border, we speak with them. We bring them here, to this hotel, where the people [are assigned] a room, and can have a couple of days to relax. After their stay at this hotel, the hope is that they can go to Europe, to our Christian communities. What we have in [our] hearts is to make disciples, and that they can know Jesus.

Natalia Ignatenko:

Thank God I arrived, I found this center and I’m here. I am very grateful. Only through you, God, your prayers, your hopes and your help, [can we] live.

Paulo Oliveira:

Without you, it is not possible to have this project. You save lives. Thank you. You make it possible.
