Rushing Aid to Sudan

SUDAN — Samaritan’s Purse is sending urgently needed humanitarian aid to Sudan where 6 million people have been displaced by violent conflict across the country. The charity is urging prayer for these families and for their teams as they help meet physical and spiritual needs in Jesus’ Name.

David PhilipsSamaritan’s Purse:

Hi, I’m Dave Philips from Samaritan’s Purse. Recently in Sudan, fighting broke out between the government forces and a rebel militia group known as the Rapid Support Forces or the Janjaweed. And this fighting has caused massive destruction across the country, and it’s forced many families to flee their homes and to seek safety in the midst of all of the conflict.

Here at Samaritan’s Purse, we want people to know to know that God has not forgotten about them. And in the midst of this terrible crisis in Sudan, where over six million people have been displaced across the country, we want to meet those people where they are and provide urgently needed humanitarian assistance to save lives and alleviate suffering.

We know that people are not forgotten about by God. And as Samaritan’s Purse, we want to be there to provide the physical and spiritual aid that people need in Jesus’ name. Please pray for the people of Sudan, for the families affected by this conflict, and especially for the children who have needs during this time.
