Distributing Food to Displaced Families in Ukraine

UKRAINE — Samaritan’s Purse is distributing tons of food in Ukraine to displaced families through a multitude of church partners in the country.

Hobie SmithSamaritan’s Purse:

My name is Hobie Smith, and I’m with the Samaritan’s Purse response here in Ukraine. Not far from here, just a few short miles, fighting is going on. We are participating in a food distribution with one of our church partners who has been picking up food from us for quite some time.

This is a regular distribution for them in different parts of Ukraine. It’s been an awesome effort. People were already lined up before we got here, and many people came up to me during the distribution and just wanted to thank us. This will provide them a meal for the next several days.

But more importantly than that, there’s people around the world who are reaching out to them. They’re reaching out with their donations. They’re reaching out with their love. They’re reaching out with their prayers. That’s what we’re doing, is we’re just being good neighbors; and they’re our neighbors, and they understand that now.

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.
