‘The Glenn Beck Program’ Listeners Raise over $32 Million to Rescue Christians Trapped in Afghanistan

DALLAS — As the world watched Afghanistan fall to the Taliban, multi-media personality and humanitarian Glenn Beck enlisted the help of loyal “The Glenn Beck Program” listeners to raise funds in an attempt to rescue thousands — mainly women and children — trapped in the country.

Through Mercury One, a nonprofit also founded by Beck, The Nazarene Fund works to rescue Christians and other religious minorities from persecution and slavery in the Middle East, Africa, Haiti and Asia.

By the end of the radio program on Thursday, Aug. 19, donations reached $13 million. By the morning of Friday, Aug. 20, they surpassed $20 million. Currently, donation totals exceed $32 million.
