Samaritan’s Purse Helping Venezuelans Return Home During COVID-19

COLOMBIA — A Samaritan’s Purse medical team in Colombia is screening Venezuelans for COVID 19 before they return to their country over the Simon Bolivar Bridge. Team member Paula Melo explains why she believes God has called them to be there at this moment to bless those returning home.

Paula Melo, Samaritan’s Purse

My name is Paula Melo, Health Program Manager of Samaritan’s Purse Colombia. We are here today at the Simon Bolivar Bridge, right on the border between Colombia and Venezuela. We have our medical team working on the identification of possible COVID-19 cases, through clinical screening and coordination with other organizations and the Department of Health. We believe God has put us in this moment and this hour to bless those who are returning to their country in difficult situations. But we are happy and encouraged to help in the Name of Jesus.
